« 2008 Hurricane Season Review | Main | 20° colder on Thursday! »

Up and down we go

It's going to be a warm day! Temperatures will climb to near 80° on Wednesday, about 10° higher than Tuesday. The gusty south winds will bring up the humidity as well which will make it feel more like spring, rather than fall.

Futuretrack_12022008Scattered thunderstorms are possible Wednesday evening when a cold front slides into southeast Texas. This fast moving front will reach the Houston area between 8 and 10 PM. Although widespread severe weather is not likely, a few isolated storms could produce some damaging winds and large hail.  The best chance for rain will be along the coast, as shown by our exclusive FutureTrack forecast model.

You can track the storms as they develop on LIVE MegaDoppler 13.

As you might expect, temperatures will fall behind the cold front. Highs will be back in the upper 50s/low 60s on Thursday and Friday, which is cooler than normal.
