Free Hurricane Tracking Maps for Teachers

We have several thousand extra hurricane tracking maps that we'd like to give away. If you're a Houston area teacher and need some maps for your classroom, just send me an email indicating where you teach, what grade and how many maps you need.

Tracking_mapThese maps are big and colorful. You can use them to teach mapping skills, geography and of course, weather!  When there are active hurricanes you can have your students check the satellite and storm coordinates on our website. Then have them plot the storm on their map and try and guess where the hurricane will make landfall. This also starts a great discussion about evacuations and hurricane safety.

The maps are free, but you'll need to pick them up at our studios in Houston.

First come, first served!  So send me an email today if you're interested: tim.heller@abc.com
